Introduction

We are pleased to present a comprehensive report on the achievements of the Mock Parliament conducted in our college. The event took place on 30/09/2023 and aimed to provide students with a platform to engage in simulated parliamentary proceedings, fostering a better understanding of legislative processes and encouraging active participation in democratic discourse. In this Mock Parliament the students discussed the issue on Women Reservation Bill.

The all degree students participated in the Mock Parliament, representing different political parties. The participants demonstrated enthusiasm, dedication, and a commendable level of preparedness for the event.

Objectives of the Mock Parliament

Educational Insight:
- The primary goal of the Mock Parliament was to offer students a hands-on experience in parliamentary procedures.
- Participants gained insights into the legislative process, parliamentary etiquette, and the importance of constructive debate
Critical Thinking and Public Speaking:
- The event encouraged critical thinking as participants had to analyze and formulate arguments on Women Reservation issue.
- Public speaking skills were honed as students presented their viewpoints and engaged in debates.
- It was organized to promote the activities of community service programs and to advocate social or political changes.
- It helps to make students understand the parliamentary procedure.
- It helps to develop in students an insight into the working of parliament.
- To make students consider public issues and form their opinion on them.
- It helps to train students in the technique of group discussion.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
- The formation of different political parties allowed students to experience the dynamics of teamwork and collaboration.
- Participants learned to negotiate, compromise, and work towards common goals.

Outcomes of the Mock Parliament on the topic of Women Reservation Bill

- The event helped the students to understanding the issues and importance of the women reservation bill, and enlightens the students to about debates and the discussions are going on in the parliament.

Conclusion

The Mock Parliament conducted in our college was a resounding success, achieving its objectives of providing students with a practical understanding of parliamentary proceedings, fostering critical thinking, promoting democratic engagement and understands the issues on Women reservation Bill. We believe that events of this nature play a crucial role in shaping well-informed, responsible, and actively engaged citizens.
