74th Republic Day celebration

74th Republic Day celebration was held in Universal Group of Institution on 26/01/2023. The celebration commenced with hoisting of the flag by Dr. Saraswathi Kumbale, Principal of Universal School of Administration.  Mr. Vishwas Puttaswamy, Principal of Universal School of Law. Dr. Keshav Neera, the Principal, Competitive Wing, Mr. Santhosh Shetty, Administrator were present. The flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem.

The programs started with a formal welcome by Rakshitha (3rd sem BCom). Dignitaries on the dias shared a few words on the occasion. Parade performed by the NCC cadets followed by a tree planting ceremony by the dignitaries and NSS volunteers. Dhanya Reddy and Vaishnavi B, from 3rd sem BA, Saadiya from 3rd sem BALLB and Narayani from 1stsem BA gave speech on Republic day in  different languages highting the linguistic diversity and unity of the nation. The orators enlightened the students with their inspirational talk. Patriotic songs were sung by Ragu Rajkumar (1st sem BA), Saidappa (1st PUC), Muzakeer and Team (5th sem BA), Meenal and Yasmi (1st sem BA) invoking the sense of patriotism in the audience through their melodious voice. This was followed by poetry recitation by Bushra (5th sem BA) highlighting the sacrifices of soldier and Shanil Yakoob (5th sem BA) presented a poem that highlighted the lacunae in the development over last 7 decades and emphasized on how imperative it is to trod the development path.  Ajeez and team (5th sem BA) presented a skit conveying the idea of unity and diversity of India.

Programme ended with vote of thanks by Sahana from 3rd sem BALLB. The Programme was coordinated by Muniraju K.R., Assistant Professor in History, UGI. The audience appreciated the program as it promoted the culture of the country with a message for the youth. It was a pride for the team to present such awareness and entertainment programs related to the importance of the day
