  • This pioneering web portal invites Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) nationwide to actively participate by submitting key data regularly.

Ministry Associated:

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA)

Key Objectives:

  • AAINA aims to establish a robust database of key performance metrics of ULBs.
  • The portal provides a comparative platform for cities, fostering inspiration, identifying areas for improvement, and promoting peer learning among ULBs.

Participation and Data Submission:

  • ULBs can voluntarily contribute data through a user-friendly data entry form on the portal.
  • The submitted data covers indicators across five pillars:
    • Political & Administrative Structure,
    • Finance,
    • Planning,
    • Citizen-Centric Governance, and
    • Delivery of Basic Services.

Dashboard Features:

  • The dashboard does not rank ULBs but serves as a tool for comparing similarly placed cities.
  • ULBs can update information as needed, promoting flexibility and ensuring accuracy in the presented data.

Benefits of participating

The primary objectives of the AAINA Dashboard are to help cities to:

  • See how they are faring vis-à-vis other cities.
  • Get inspired by pointing to possibilities and areas of improvement.
  • Learn and engage with frontrunners.
  • The dashboard will also serve as a tool for comparing similarly placed cities and promoting peer learning among cities.

Public Accessibility:

  • Once populated, the AAINA Dashboard will be accessible to all stakeholders and the public.
  • This transparency encourages cities to gauge their performance relative to others and motivates continuous improvement.

Government Support:

  • The Ministry, through Digital India Corporation, offers handholding support to ULBs and states during the data submission process.
  • This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to creating a dynamic and updated repository of ULB-related data.
