Governing the Drop: A Dialogue on Water, Society, and Sustainability
Universal School of Administration, under the IQAC initiative, successfully hosted a thought-provoking event titled “Governing the Drop: Geography, Society, and Sustainable Water.” Organized by the Department of Geography, the session brought together academic insight and real-world relevance on one of the most pressing global concerns—water sustainability.

The event was presided over by Mr. R. Upendra Shetty, Chairman of Universal Group of Institutions, and featured Dr. Ashok D. Hanjagi, Professor and Chairman, Department of Geography, Bangalore University, as the Chief Guest and Speaker. The discussion highlighted the intersection of geography, environmental governance, and societal responsibility in managing water resources.
Through engaging perspectives, the session emphasized sustainable practices, policy awareness, and the urgent need for collective action in water conservation.
