●  International Justice Day, observed annually on 17 July, highlights the global commitment to justice, accountability, and the rule of law, reinforcing the rules-based international order that underpins global peace and security.

About International Justice Day & International Criminal Court : ●  International Justice Day (also known as World Day for International Justice) is observed every year on 17 July. ●  The day commemorates the adoption of the Rome Statute in 1998, which established the International Criminal Court (ICC). ●  The International Criminal Court (ICC), headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, prosecutes individuals accused of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and the crime of aggression. ●  The Rome Statute entered into force on 1 July 2002, making the ICC the world’s first permanent international criminal court. ●  India is not a State Party to the Rome Statute, primarily due to concerns regarding national sovereignty, jurisdiction, and certain provisions relating to the Court’s powers.
