● The state cultivates approximately 11,698 hectares of pineapple, producing around 1.71 lakh metric tonnes annually.
● About 23,000 metric tonnes are available as marketable surplus for domestic and international trade.

● Pineapple-based products such as jams, jellies, chocolates, and fibre extracted from pineapple leaves are creating employment opportunities in processing, packaging, and marketing sectors.
